Surgical Techniques

Since its inception in 1971, The Indiana Hand Center has been a leading innovator and is recognized nationally and internationally for dedication and commitment to surgical excellence. As respected pioneers in reconstructive and joint replacement surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, our board certified orthopedic surgeons have developed prosthetic devices as well as surgical techniques, instrumentation and tools utilized across the country and around the world in the field of orthopedic medicine.

Our goal is to provide our patients with effective treatment plans to relieve pain and regain normal functionality. Our surgeons specialize in performing the most state-of-the-art microvascular surgical techniques available to ensure successful outcomes. The Indiana Hand Center is a teaching facility, and the surgical techniques utilized by our surgeons are taught and broadcast from our operating rooms for educational purposes. Our surgeons regularly conduct lectures, courses and symposia worldwide and travel to third-world countries on goodwill trips to educate and work with local medical facilities and missions.

Our expertise in surgical techniques of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand includes but is not limited to:

Joint replacement
• Joint repair and reconstruction
• Limb reattachment
• Replantation of fingers, hands and arms
