Introducing The Indiana Shoulder & Elbow Institute

A Division of The Indiana Hand Center

The Indiana Hand Center is proud to introduce The Indiana Shoulder & Elbow Institute.

The surgeons at The Indiana Shoulder & Elbow Institute are the same physicians you’ve come to trust and depend upon at The Indiana Hand Center. Creating this new Institute enables us to place increased focus on participation in ongoing research that yields new cutting-edge techniques and procedures to provide our patients with the next generation of shoulder and elbow care. Our physicians have treated injuries and conditions of the shoulder and elbow for the past 35 years.

Our surgeons are at the top of their fields and have developed prosthetics currently used in joint replacement surgeries across the country and the world. Because our Center is a teaching facility they also train other surgeons in the latest microsurgical techniques used in shoulder and elbow surgery. Our surgeons have participated in numerous shoulder and elbow-related research projects. They have also authored papers, abstracts and book chapters in peer-reviewed publications as well as presented talks to other surgeons, nurses, therapists and healthcare workers across the world.

Some of the shoulder/elbow injuries and conditions we treat include but are not limited to:

  • Sports injuries such as tennis/golf elbow, tendonitis and rotator cuff tears
  • Joint pain from chronic and/or recurrent rotator
    cuff tears (i.e., arthropathy)
  • Arthritis
  • Dislocations and fractures
  • Tendon and ligament instabilities and tears
  • Overuse syndrome
  • Bursitis
  • Cubital tunnel syndrome
  • Pediatric and congenital conditions
  • Brachial plexus injuries
  • Conditions requiring shoulder or elbow joint replacement
    (including Reverse Shoulder Replacement)
