Robert M. Baltera, M.D.
Dr. Baltera earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University. He was valedictorian of his medical school class at the State University of New York Health Science Center, where he completed an internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopaedic surgery. In 1991, Dr. Baltera completed his fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery at The Indiana Hand Center. He is Board Certified by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and holds a Certification of Added Qualification in hand and microvascular surgery.
Dr. Baltera maintains a faculty appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Indiana University School of Medicine. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He has received numerous honors for his academic and research accomplishments and continues to serve as an educator in his field.
Dr. Baltera has special interests in the treatment of arthritis, fractures, post-traumatic reconstruction, nerve compression syndromes, and sports-related injuries of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. |
