For Our Referring PhysiciansThank you for choosing The Indiana Hand Center. Since our inception in 1971, we have grown to become the largest free-standing facility in the world specializing in complete care for problems and injuries related to the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Our board certified orthopedic surgeons are leaders in their field and have pioneered surgical techniques and treatments that are utilized and taught throughout the world. They are also dedicated to education, with a focus on teaching future surgeons through our formalized Fellowship program. Together, our multidisciplinary healthcare team will work with you to provide individualized solutions and cost-effective, realistic treatment plans to meet your patients’ needs. Our goal is to reduce the risk of re-injury and help them return to their daily activities as quickly as possible. Our areas of expertise include: • State-of-the-art surgical procedures The Indiana Hand Center operates the largest hand and upper extremity therapy facility in the country. Patients, both surgical and non-surgical, work with highly skilled occupational therapists who design individualized therapy plans to help them restore function. The Indiana Hand Center also conducts tests such as EMGs and X-rays at all of our locations. In order to accommodate you and your patients, we will provide same-day appointments. Call our office at 317-875-9105 or 800-888-HAND and select option “3”. Our patient representatives will work with your staff to schedule an appointment. We also provide a Same-Day Emergency Clinic, enabling patients who have emergent problems or injuries to come to The Indiana Hand Center without an appointment and be treated by one of our surgeons. This clinic operates Monday-Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. For patient emergencies, call one of our two numbers noted above and select zero. Our surgeons are always on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies. Dictation and ReportingWe will work closely with you and your staff to ensure timely communication regarding your patients’ care at The Indiana Hand Center. Dictations will be sent to you in less than 48 hours of seeing your patient. Health InsuranceThe Indiana Hand Center accepts most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. For specific questions regarding health insurance plans, please contact us at 317-870-5207. How to Refer a Patient to The Indiana Hand CenterIf you would like to refer a patient to The Indiana Hand Center, call our office at 317-875-9105 or 800-888-HAND and select option “3”. Our patient representatives will work with your staff to schedule an appointment. To expedite the referral process for new patients, you can fax your patient demographic information sheet to 317-872-1992. Please include a contact name and phone number, and we will call you with detailed information regarding the appointment. Indiana Hand Center BrochuresMany times, our patients prefer to read information about their specific disease or condition prior to their appointment with their Indiana Hand Center surgeon.
