The Indiana Hand Center

History of Excellence

The Indiana Hand Center began in 1971 as a private hand surgery practice located near downtown Indianapolis at Winona Hospital. Over the last 35 years, we have grown to become a renowned center of excellence, recognized across the world for our specialization in problems and injuries of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Now located on the northwest side of the city, The Indiana Hand Center is the largest free-standing facility of its kind in the world. We employ 10 board certified orthopedic surgeons, 6 Fellows, 160 employees and have 6 locations throughout central Indiana. The Indiana Hand Center is one of the world’s leading centers dedicated to providing orthopedic surgeons with one additional year of Fellowship training in upper extremity and microvascular surgery.

The surgeons at The Indiana Hand Center see over 14,000 patients each year. Our facility houses 40,000 square feet that includes:

- Three operating room suites
- Two procedure rooms
- Nerve block room
- Emergency room intake
- 18 exam rooms
- X-ray
- EMG
- Full therapy department
